Nursery children have been been exploring Physical Development this month in many ways :   

• Gross Motor Skills - By using large movement activities such as balancing on the play equipment at the local park, Climbling the indoor frame, using large-muscle movements to bat the balls, painting large boxes and make marks in different textures.

• Fine Motor Skills - C

  hoosing the correct size spade / using one handed tools to dig a large hole or small hole in the nature mud kitchen, comfortable grip with good control when holding scissors during craft activites, utensils to cut their own snack food and equipment to roll and cut playdough.

  Good hand eye coordination is needed to complete  the threading activites. 

Alongside these skills the children have been developing their facual muscles by blowing thorugh straws and reading the Mr Tongue reading book.
