Nursery children have been very excited this month with Christmas inspired activities :  

• Communication & Language - Listening to instruction and understanding when using the scissors to make Santa letters to be careful.

   

• Physical development - Fine motor development to wrap toys and boxes with wrapping paper and tape, also placing the colourful baubles on the Christmas trees.

• Personal, Social & Emotional Development - Independence in dressing themselves in fancy dress and making healthy choices when eating a Christmas dinner.

• Understanding the World - Celebrating different beliefs, decorating Christmas trees and season - Winter.  

• Expressive Arts & Design - Exploring different materials, such as glitter, snow, paint, glue, playdough and gingerbread.

• Maths - Advert tree. Recognise numbers 1 to 25.

• Literacy - Writing on Christmas cards and developing pincer grips by using paint brushes, glue spatulas and felt tips.
